Contributing to the theoretical perspective are disciplines and theoretical concepts which include travel sociology, the sociology of martial arts, the anthropological-system theory of tourism and the humanistic theory of martial arts. So this is another small contribution - a case study of one journey, the description and review of a specialist conference, and an analysis of events from the perspective of the participants. It was, as in the title of this study, the 1st International IMACSSS Conference undertaken in Genoa, Italy
